Intelligent Automation (IA) Analyst

Stanley Black & Decker (SBD) is adopting a new class of technology. Intelligent Automation (IA), currently consisting of Rapid (a.k.a Robotic) Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a component of Service Delivery Automation (SDA) to enable digital operations & activities at SBD. The implementation strategy for IA is to establish and mature a Center of Excellence (CoE) to centralize key functions, standardize and optimize processes, and strengthen governance. This position will report directly to Global Team Lead – Automation Engineering.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Provide business analyst support expertise to IA team during the ideation and POC stages, help IA COE Leader to identify, define & draft the IA opportunity responses
  • Participate in business workshops to help shape best fit solution – by working closely with IA and SBD Business / IT teams.
  • Provide support to Control Center team throughout the development & deployment of new IA solutions during POCs and implementation phase by:
  • Acting as a communication bridge between IA COE and the customer’s business stakeholders
  • Understanding our customer’s business requirements and clearly documenting them for our IA Architect & Control Center teams to deploy the automation projects in an optimal manner
  • Facilitating the mitigation of risks and issues throughout the RPA deployment phase
  • Supporting our customers in implementing the required changes to make effective use of the automation
  • Delivering demos, technical trainings and support for new/existing clients
  • Provide post Go Live support to the SBD Business throughout stabilization phase
Requirements:
  • Relevant Higher Degree - Finance, Accounting, IT or related
  • Minimum of 2 years (more preferred) as a Business Analyst or Process Owner in Finance, Accounting, IT or Process Improvement
  • Experience in implementing, delivering & executing process improvement and automation projects
  • Fluent English, excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Advantage: exposure to automation tools (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc.)
  • Advantage: exposure / experience in a Continuous Improvement (LEAN / Six Sigma) environment
  • Experience in process-mapping / requirements gathering
  • Strong process-minded thinking, problem solver / solution-oriented
  • Understanding of project management principles, experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
