Position purpose
Junior Linux Engineer will be able to expand knowledge in managing Linux Red Hat system area through access to dedicated client’s environment and cooperation with high class specialists within our team. This position is dedicated for people strongly focused on technical skills development and motivated to achieve defined objectives.
This position is dedicated for people who would like to develop in Linux operating systems area.
Main accountabilities
- Identify research and resolve technical issues associated to supported systems
- Assistance with execution of projects related to Linux platforms
- Evaluate alerts, automation gaps and provide instructions for other team members for different type of alerts
- Developing best practices for different monitoring and administering scenarios
- Continue self development on emerging technologies related to areas of responsibility
Candidate’s profile
Must have:
- Basic knowledge of Linux (Red Hat preferred) Operating System administration
- Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
Nice to have:
- Experience in Storage, RAID and LVM Management
- NFS, FTP, SAMBA, DNS and IPTABLES administration
- Scripting skills in one or more of Bash / Perl / Python / Ruby / C
- Understanding of networking concepts
- Knowledge of Virtualization
- Familiarity with Bug / Issue Tracking tools such as Jira
