Junior Software Engineer (low-level)

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer (low-level), who will strengthen our innovative team, which develops wireless communication solutions for our customers.

 

Working with real experts – your team buddies – will broaden your knowledge, constantly developing your skills to become an engineer specializing in low-level software.

What will you do?

You will learn about low-level engineering under the watchful eye of our amazing Software and Hardware Engineers. The scope of responsibilities will increase with increasing your skills. Your daily tasks include:

  • Writing low-level software modules (drivers) for various communication devices
  • Software and hardware integration support activities
  • Configuring low-level drivers, written by others
  • Maintain and document software code
  • Cooperation with other team members and learning from the best engineers
What’s important for us?
  • Knowledge and experience – essential skills for a good start at ADB are:
  • Good understanding of programming languages such as C and C++, which allows you to deepen your knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of Linux-based systems
  • Bug tracking and test reporting skills
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in any Engineering field at a technical university
  • Quick learner – We want you to work like us – be an independent specialist, who knows how to do IT good. But to reach it out, you need an open mind, learn fast and talk with more experienced specialists in your team
  • Problem-solving skills – you probably know that problems are an integral part of an engineer’s work. You should know where to look for information and how to compare or analyze various solutions. Your approach is key here
  • Self-development orientation – we want to help you grow by giving you support and the opportunity to find your way to success
  • English skills – ADB is an international company and our language is English; the team communicates in Polish
Additional skills, which allow better find yourself at work:
  • Practical experience with wireless subsystems (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Wi-Fi Mesh), technologies like VOIP, xDSL, xPON
  • Understanding of networking, routing, and switching subsystems, OpenWRT
