Job description
- Establishing control of the activities related to the Major Incident resolution
- Ensuring swift creation and proper execution of the Major Incident Restoration and Communication plans
- Ensuring that Major Incident communications are effective to both business and ITSPs
- Ensuring that contingency options are identified and evaluated
- Act as the point of escalation for the other members of the Major Incident Restoration Team
- Own and drive Major Incident related escalations
- Overseeing ECABs and implementation of Emergency Changes as part of MI restoration
- Provide outputs and interlock with other processes (reports, e.g. MIR, etc.)
Position purpose
Major Incident Consultant is responsible for coordinating the response to all Major Incidents for our Client, manage IT Service Providers’ engagement and escalations as well as business communication and reporting in relation to MIs.
Main accountabilities
- Managing Major Incident communications to business and IT representatives
- Facilitating and coordinating Major Incident Restoration Team meetings and Reviews
- Managing, tracking and coordinating Major Incident recovery activities across multiple suppliers
- Influencing the tasks needed to resolve high priority incidents
- Managing and collaborating with virtual teams
Requirements
Essential:
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player, ability to work with minimum supervision, perform under pressure
- Awareness of Lean / Problem Management (root cause analysis) concepts
- Knowledge of and experience in Problem, Incident, and Change Management integration
Desirable:
- ITIL certification (Green Badge level ITIL Foundation or higher)
- Experience in Major Incident Management
