By joining Equities IT you will become a valued and trusted team member in our Execution SCRUM development team. The Execution team works close with our Head of Execution Product Owner to ensure we develop the right solutions at the right time. As a team we take pride in high quality and rely on continuous integration and automation to ensure success. We want to do things the right way from the start.
What you will be doing:
- Be part of the SCRUM team to ensure the team meets the deadlines and delivers the solutions needed by business.
- Work close with Trading desks to drive business needs into development requirements and IT solutions.
- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure teams, IT Operations to continuously optimize the full application stack.
- Take part in and drive the system life cycle management including incident resolution, root cause analysis and implementation of mitigating actions.

Your profile and background:
- Engineering background, preferably a MSc. in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or similar.
- Great team player and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to independently and proactively plan and drive larger initiatives spanning several units and stakeholders.
- Preferably 5 years of experience from a financial domain such as Equities, FX or similar, providing a good understanding of electronic order flows.
- Strong IT skills including network, virtualization, Linux and Windows and SQL database infrastructure.
- Hands on experience from working with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Bamboo, Puppet, PowerShell and similar.
- Good Java development skills.
- Expert knowledge of financial protocols, especially FIX but also others such as FpML, ITCH etc.
