Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilites
- work on increasing test coverage on the existing system (10+ years) alongside the Dev team
- coming up with test designs & test cases for test automation
- developing tests for new functionality
- developing the integration & regression tests, working with the existing team to uncover what existing code is intended to do
- working where necessary on designing both functional & non-functional tests (e.g. fail-safe scenarios, performance etc.)
Requirements
Required:
- capable of development
- experience with any mainstream JVM-based programming language (i.e, Java, Groovy)
- experience with Cucumber & BDD
- experience with CI (Bamboo, Teamcity or Jenkins)
- experience dealing with both functional and non-functional testing
- experience working with integration testing
- expertise in PL/SQL, good experience with SQL
Nice to haves:
- Financial / risk domain knowledge
- Junit experience
We offer
The team is in process of modernizing the platform (Market Risk) running on legacy tech stack. Development team runs in Agile / Scrum model - working in regular sprints, holding planning sessions at the beginning of the sprint etc. As for tooling generally Atlassian stack (+ Sonar, to be enabled) is used
a. Stash
b. Bamboo
c. JIRA etc
- Cucumber as the main BDD tool
- Database is Oracle, the system is largely based on PL/SQL logic.
