Senior Tax Analyst
YOU AND YOUR TEAM
The Indirect Tax Research Team has responsibility for the delivery content updates for the Tax Calendar and Workflow Manager products. The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for research, configuration, ongoing maintenance and testing to ensure that ONESOURCE™ applications and offerings comply with tax rules, laws and deadlines in complex and demanding tax jurisdictions.
SOME OF DAILY TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM:
· Research, analyze, interpret and document tax laws and deadlines to enable accurate tax declarations in complex and demanding tax jurisdictions
· Monitor tax statutes, regulations, legislative activity and publications on a continuous basis to stay informed of changes in laws and regulations
· Implement new content and content changes within applications; complete work within prescribed content deadlines
· Design and execute test scenarios to ensure content accuracy and functionality
· Research, respond and resolve client issues in partnership with Customer Support
· Contribute to the development of requirements for tax application features and functionality in partnership with Product Management
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
· Bachelor’s Degree in Tax/Accounting/Finance/Computer science/IT is required
· 3+ years tax experience or 2+ years tax calculation and compliance software (e.g. ONESOURCE™) experience
· A record of successful delivery of software projects as an individual and/or team leader on time and on budget
· Detail-oriented with an attitude for analysis and problem solving including ability to interpret, analyze and organize detailed legal material
· Ability to consistently meet rigid and recurring deadlines
· Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
· Ability to work and learn independently with minimal supervision
· Written and spoken fluency in English
YOU WILL BE EVEN MORE COMPETITIVE IF:
· Experience working for a public accounting firm or tax compliance department
· Ability to automate processes using Python, SQL
· Understanding of database concepts (data types, queries, filters, table design)
· Experience in tax automation projects
· Fluency in languages other than English
