Job Description
The Krakow Video Security and Analytics team is looking for experienced C++ engineers. We are creating new scrum teams of architects, developers & testers, with shared responsibilities. Our team works closely with Avigilon teams in Vancouver, Canada. By joining the team you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering innovative and compelling features to our product line and actively participate in all stages of development from feature brainstorming through iterative process improvement. You will work as a member of a highly skilled professional team that focuses on achieving goals but has fun while doing so!
We are looking for an open-minded person willing to pursue their ideas, evaluate alternatives and cooperate.
Basic Requirements
- MSc or BSc degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- 3+ years of practical experience in C++ (including at least C++ 11)
- Operating systems concepts including processes, threads, mutexes, and exception handling
- Practical knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software design
- Strong Software Engineering fundamentals including an unwavering belief in championing
- good design patterns, systems architecture, and scaling methodologies
- Communicative English
Optional Qualifications:
- Experience with LDAP, OpenLDAP, Active Directory, Postgres, MongoDB, SQLite, SQL, Redis, IPC
- Familiarity with REST, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Python
- Understanding of networks fundamentals and networking protocols
