Accounting Manager

Requirements:

• University degree in finance, business administration or auditor
• 5 years of experience in a similar role in international company
• Strong knowledge of Polish accounting standards and IRFS
• Solid understanding of Polish taxes
• ACCA or similar is an advantage
• Understands key business drivers and proactively seeks out opportunities and recommends solutions that can be effectively supported
• Very good Customer Service skills and Strong customer driven focus
• Pro-activeness, improvements drive

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for local GAAP and Group standards of bookkeeping
• Prepare financial statements according to Polish Accounting Standards, IFRS
• Ensure that chart of accounts are in line with accounting standards, group standards and legal requirements
• Supervise and monitor the entire accounting process including general ledger, accounts payables, accounts receivables, inventory, fixed assets and cash management
• Preparation of statutory, tax declarations such as VAT, CIT and other if applicable; proper and timely tax recognition and documentation of transactions,
• Drives necessary changes/updates in accounting system to meet accounting/legal requirements
• Maintain relationships with third parties including financial institutions, auditors, tax authorities
• Areas on a day-to-day basis to meet the decided objectives, targets and metrics for the unit
• Ensure that quality and operational excellence objectives and targets are fulfilled for entities that he/she is responsible for
• Ensure delivery according to customer and process requirements (SLA)
• Implementation of system and process changes, playing a key role in continuous improvement projects, lead lean initiatives together with accountants from operational department
• Train SSC accountants with whom he/she cooperates and directly manage his/her deputy.
• Work closely with controlling team to prepare cyclical budgets and forecasts
• Act as a member of the local Management Team
