Airport Services Manager

Job description
Qatar Airways is looking for self-motivated, dynamic and highly skilled candidate to lead the Airport Service team to achieve Business plan objectives, ensure the safety and security of Qatar Airways operations and deliver the highest service to our customers.
Job Description
- Manage the daily operation and acts as liaison between airport service providers, senior management, users.
- Provide input and recommendations to management regarding formation of short and long range
- Define goals and objectives and the plans and programs directed to assure achievement.
- Perform the personnel administration for direct-reporting positions, including selection, training, performance appraisals, employee development, and affirmative action.
- Train, implement, and monitor safety policies and practices for employees and/or oversee compliance by contractors.
- Ensure that safe work practices are carried out by employees.
- Primary contact and liaison person for all areas of the QR airport operation.
- Responsible for ensuring all areas of the QR airport operation are within the planned operating.
- Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
- Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
- Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Requirements
- High School Education or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of job-related experience required.
- Wide and varied training courses attended and skills gained in an airline environment.
- Extensive overall knowledge of all areas and the airline/airport operation.
- Must have team building and leadership ability.
- Proven experience in Crisis Management.
- Organisational and management practices as applied to the analysis and evaluation of programs, policies and operational needs.
- Good knowledge of program development, budget preparation and administration.
- Fluent in English both written and oral.
