We would like to announce new position within Controlling in Finance & Control Department:

Analyst Financial Reporting (Business Intelligence Analysis)

Following implementation of JDE & BI tool we would like to further develop our organizational skills in mining the data, organizing and translate it into actionable analysis.

The primary function of the Financial Reporting/ Business Intelligence Analyst is to transform high level business requirements into reporting solutions that meet the needs of internal business clients.

This position will also include a data mining component which will involve identifying and analyzing trends in the data and building automated and/or ad hoc reports for internal business users.

Critical to succeed in the position is the determination to understand current data structure in BI solution implemented and make maximum use of the information provided in it.

Experience with business analytics is essential as the result of the data mining activities  and should result in actionable and developed recommendations to the Management team.

Major responsibilities of the position listed below:

• Understanding and becoming proficient with business systems in Statoil
• Incorporating data from multiple sources including sales, inventory, product, and customer  to create integrated views that can be used to drive decision making
• Working with several large databases
• Designing and building reports
• Maintaining and updating business intelligence  dashboards
• Assisting in timely flow of business intelligence information to users.

Education and experience:

• Master’s degree in one of the following concentrations:  MIS, Computer Science
• Proficient in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.)
• Experience with Qualitative/Quantitative analytics
• Experience working with Data Warehouses, ERP Systems, reporting systems
• Highly analytical technician who enjoys data analysis
• Very high level of work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly data structures and specifics of the Oracle BI tool
