Welcome to the Market Risk Analytics team in the Markets & Treasury Financial Control unit that is the Middle Office function of Nordea. We add value by developing the market risk limit framework, by offering market risk expertise and developing tools to help our stakeholders understand risks better, and by automating market risk processes. As an Analyst, you’ll play a valuable role in developing risk tools and supporting limit setting with quantitative analysis.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing risk tooling and reporting, and automating the underlying processes
- Doing statistical analysis and quantitative risk assessment to support the market risk limit setting process
You’ll join an international team of risk experts with various backgrounds and skills. The role is based in Warsaw.

Your experience and background:
- At least 2 years of experience working in the banking industry, preferably in a market risk role
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Skills in ETL/BI tools, e.g. Alteryx, PowerBI and Qlik, and other programming languages are advantages
- Basic knowledge of traded products and common risk methodologies
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, e.g. Finance, Engineering or Mathematics
- Fluency in English both written and spoken (professional level)
