Department Overview
The Worldwide Education team along with their Global and Regional business partners identify, create, deliver, and assess Education and Enablement programs and tools for Customers, Channel Partners, and Employees. The programs and tools build skills, knowledge, and behaviors that enable our audiences to drive optimal business performance.
Our Learning Programs Management and Implementation (LPMI) team is responsible for several software tools and integrations. The team is responsible for end to end software development life-cycle, definition of requirements/stories, development, building automatic tests and maintaining these tools.
Our team is looking for an upcoming leader who is passionate, proactive, and excited about the opportunity to be both a contributor and a leader, supporting and maintaining technology based applications and projects to join our Learning Operations Organization.
Your opportunity will be to combine your coding skills across while leading a small team of professionals who will know what is expected of them and who align with Motorola Solutions' values and strategy. You will coach the team, foster agile philosophy, and provide guidance that is clear, simple, and technically sound.
As the team leader, you will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure optimal implementation of Motorola Solutions learning tools and solutions. Together with the Strategy Team, you will ensure a focus on effective delivery of identified technologies.
In return, you will have ownership of the applications, integrations and the team, as well as full ownership of the management and deployment of internal technologies.

If you:

Are familiar with Java, PHP, Angular
-
Have 4-6 years of experience in the field
-
Have experience in working on small software scrum/agile teams
-
Have strong technical background with building and maintaining homegrown and off the shelf solutions with an IT focus

Know what the process of software production and deployment is and how to make it most effective
-
Have a thorough understanding of data security, data integration and UX strategies as part of the application development cycle
-
Understand how important it is to develop people and make sure they are properly trained and skilled
-
Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline; prior IT management experience preferred.
