This role is for a Build Integration Engineer who will join highly skilled desktop engineering team responsible for design and produce secure, stable, and with good user experience build for desktop, laptop, VM and tablet based on Microsoft. In this particular role candidate will be responsible for engineering monthly releases of build which is then deployed to end user devices across the whole bank.
Build Integration engineer will be required to take business requirements from product management and answer to them with technical solutions included in the next build releases. Candidate will be responsible for creation a build, deployment it in lab and finally verification according to given business requirements. The Candidate will be involved in the optimization of the build and work in areas such as performance in the terms of speed to loading applications, overall performance, login times, policy load times and vulnerability management. Engineer will act as center of competence in his area for product management and from time for operation team and would propose solutions in situations when operations were not able to resolve incident/problem.
Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related disciplines or 5 years+ experience in relevant disciplines
Experience of working in environment as part of a team supporting or engineering Windows client deployments.
Must have strong technical knowledge of Windows Client Environment and of integrating Clients systems with other core Infrastructure components
Familiarity in in-depth trouble shooting of problems with either Microsoft Windows 7, desktop/laptop hardware or analyzing VBS scripts.
Must have an understanding of the security requirements of deploying a Desktop build within a financial Institution and the ability to interpret security standards and ensure adherence to them Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, be extremely self-motivated, be able to work with minimal guidance and have the ability to own problems through to resolution. Ability to collaborate across a diverse global team.
- At least 4 years Windows client engineering
- Thorough knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7)
- Strong Experience of debugging applications on a Windows platform
- Strong knowledge of Internet Explorer troubleshooting, including Java and .Net apps
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (2010 preferred) and integrated technologies
- Knowledge of MSI and packaging methodologies
- Knowledge of VBS & PowerShell
- Knowledge of Windows Client deployment
- Knowledge of Active Directory, especially Group Policies
- Knowledge of WMI
- Experience of App-v based application troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows Server
- Previous experience of integration work
- Experience of Virtualizing Desktop Environment and Citrix technologies
- Knowledge of PKIs
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
