ABOUT THE ROLE
Solera's Big Data Team is seeking an experienced MicroStrategy Developer to support the design and development of MicroStrategy BI solutions.

- Be part of a rapidly growing big data team with an opportunity to work on developing next gen analytics on a state of the art Hadoop big data platform

Core Mission 80's
- Design and development of Analytics as a Service for our customers – insurers, repairers and OEM's; using the MicroStrategy platform
- Design and development of Solera-wide financial reporting solutions.
- Translate business requirements to technical specs for development by liaising with the business users and the data team.
Core Mission 20's
- Provide feedback to the data team on data structure design based on the requirements as well as query performance.
- Review and assist in demo creation for the sales team.
- Provide BI Platform administration support.

ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Solera is seeking an uncommon MicroStrategy who will utilize his/her skills and expertise to design and develop world-class MicroStrategy BI solutions.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent time management and the ability to excel in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / MUST HAVES
- Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical, or related field
- Demonstrated MicroStrategy Expertise:
- At least 5 years of experience with MicroStrategy projects development and successful implementation of large Enterprise BI solutions
- MicroStrategy 9.x, 10.x
- Relational database and data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling (relational, dimensional data modeling)
- High proficiency writing SQL
- Translating business requirements into Data and MicroStrategy reporting requirements
- Creation of MicroStrategy schema and reporting objects
- Dashboard development for MicroStrategy Web and Mobile deployments
- Development experience with MicroStrategy BI environments which leverages I-Cubes, Web, Mobile and Distribution Services.
- Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required
- Working knowledge of MicroStrategy Admin tools (e.g. Object Manager, Integrity Manager, and Command Manager)
- Hands on experience working on MicroStrategy Windows and Linux environments
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS / ADDED BONUS IF YOU HAVE THESE
- MicroStrategy Certification (MCEP or MCE)
- MicroStrategy SDK Development
- Hadoop experience is a plus
- Experience with Financial Reporting
- Knowledge of Insurance Industry
