In EMEA Packaging, we are currently driving a critical project to redesign all business processes from Order to Invoice in our box plants. We are working on the implementation of an integrated Corrugated Packaging Management System (CPMS) supplied by the German company WITRON. Current scope of the project includes 16 Box plants in total across Italy, France and Spain.
To conduct effective and successful planning and execution of the complex project plan from both business & IT sides, we are creating a new position of Business Program Manager (BPM).
In this role, the BPM is accountable for delivering effective project management and PMO support during the complete project lifecycle through planning, executing until closing. The purpose of the role is to manage and oversee this complex initiative aiming to optimize and standardize business processes as well as implement CPMS. The scope spans across various EMEA locations and requires managing multiple implementations in a coordinated way. You will work closely with the Business as well as IT communities in order to deliver the solution that meets the needs of customers.
The successful candidate will have the great opportunity to lead one of the biggest transformation projects in EMEA Packaging, gaining knowledge on business and IT across our business unit.
This role will allow the successful candidate to demonstrate skills and expertise in project management knowledge in the areas of: communication, schedule, cost, resources, scope, stakeholder, quality, risks and integration management in all phases of the project lifecycle. The role gives exposure to the diversified Business and IT organization across EMEA region.
- Establish and guide the Program Management Office (PMO) to govern and facilitate proper functioning of the project
- Work with the business track leads to develop a detailed project plan that represents the business scope of the project and includes Activities & Tasks, Resources, Work Effort, Duration, Dependencies, etc.
- Develop an integrated project plan that links interdependencies across the business and IT project plans and supports constraint and critical path management as well as effective communication
- Coordinate efforts among teams: IT, Deployment & Business
- Be accountable for synchronizing and following-up execution of the project plan including business tasks & communication
- Leverage experience and approach from one plant to another
- Facilitate the resources management across teams by provisioning the appropriate resources, transitioning individuals from various organizations into an integrated and effective working unit
- Establish the organizational structure of the program with clearly defined roles and responsibilities and ensure stakeholders and team members are aware of their roles
- Effectively supervise the dynamics of the project team
- Facilitate and own design, build, maintenance, monitoring and reporting progress of elaborated program plan and schedule
- Manage the scope and lead the Change Control Board
- Determining, tracking, prioritizing, resolving risks and issues
- Manage the work process of the project and project meetings as well as improve communication plans to meet stakeholders needs
- Manage costs and track benefits associated with project delivery
- Ensures project documentation maintenance
- Partner with the business to facilitate the required change management
- Proven experience in managing complex multitrack initiatives at all phases of the project delivery lifecycle from process design through production support, including as change management, risk management, schedule management, issue management, and budget management
- 8+ years of project management and/or PMO experience with increasing responsibility and complexity is a must
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a must
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to write clear, concise business communication for multiple levels (management, technical, user)
- Experience in customer facing positions
- Fluent English is a must. Knowledge of additional European language (French, Italian, Spanish) would be an strong advantage
- Availability to travel and flexibility towards work hours required
