The role is for a strong Application Programmer who has worked on large and complex systems with a strong background in technical project work and the desire to learn in a complex IT and business area.
The successful applicant will need to work with Front Office and Trade Mgmt business as well as Senior IT Management, to understand, capture and manage requirements for improving and expanding the Derivatives business’s technology platform and its related business processes, on a global and regionally-specific basis.

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- .NET C# 4years +
- Microsoft SQL Server
- XML / Restful web services , JSON, WCF
- English language skills at the B2 level.
- Strong understanding and exposure to object oriented practices and principles
- Experience with unit testing, mocking frameworks and continuous integration.
- Experience in tooling like TeamCity, SVN, JIRA etc.
- Oral communication skills including ability to actively listen and interpret.
- Good interpersonal relationship skills and strong team player.

Equities Derivatives IT provides development and support globally for the Equity Derivs businesses globally. Main product sets are Structured Notes, OTC Derivatives and Listed Options and functions include pricing, execution, trade capture and lifecycle processing. The Department is responsible for many business applications including GUIs and batch processing. We work extensively with Front Office Trading, Risk Management, Trade Mgmt and Quants.
The brief of the department is to work with the business to design the optimum Straight Through Processing and control processes for all products, and to deliver solutions as well as support our legacy systems.
Project:
Working on a platform that provides automated trade feed and lifecycle processing for a variety of scenarios
- Capturing additional trade attributes, labelling and linking related trades as part of Front Office Trade Capture of Structured Trades so they are correctly recognized in the Finance layer.
- Overnight batch process that is responsible for auto-maturing IR Swaps and booking RMO payments for both DTD Swaps and Finacle Comm Loans. The RMO payments contain the Settled Cash which is provided by Rhapsody.
- EMEA Single Stock Structured Derivatives provide d1 exposure to various indices to other books within derive and replicate them to hedge ourselves. The desk pass through the dividends received on long stock positions to the “end user” books. Otter Dividend provides the actual div due on the stock positions then the desk pass through the effective dividend that should be received on a replicating position on an index.

The IT team is global with significant personnel in London, Wroclaw, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Equity Derivatives IT is a global software department with an established team in Wroclaw, Poland. Due to the success of this team, we are looking to additionally build a new function in Warsaw.
Most of the work done in Poland is software development.
There will be a lot of interaction with IT colleagues in Wroclaw and London.
There will also be interaction with the business users in London.
