Calypso Support Analyst

Responsibilites
Analyzing and understanding the functional support requirements of clients, using Calypso. Your work will be to test and support the Calypso application to handle all domains contained in the scope of implementation related to different asset classes.
You will be also responsible for:
- Supporting users including Traders, Sales, Risk, Ops, Product Control and Finance teams with the day-to-day use of the Calypso application across IRD, Fixed Income, FX/MM, FX Derivatives Equity and Commodity asset classes
- Provide functional Calypso training on an informal basis
- Contribute with system upgrades
- Raise issues, log user requests and execute first prioritisation of issues as a central point of contact for any issues related to the Calypso platform
- Escalate critical incidents and identify patterns in recurring incidents
- On call Support for overnight batches. Able to investigate failures in a logical and systematic way. Remediate failures and evaluate and communicate impact
- Assist in specification of functional business requirements for reporting
- Experience of training others is a plus
- Experience of leading a team is a plus
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering or engineering
- 3 years technical experience (general) plus 18 months+ Calypso experience
- Knowledge of financial products
- SQL (views, joins, stored procedures etc)
- Unix skills (navigation, file manipulation, troubleshooting, basic shell scripting)
- Experience in Enterprise Risk, Limits explanation and pricing
- Experience in housekeeping tasks
- Trade input, STP, simulation, analytics and calculations , curve construction, P&L, back office functionality, reporting, settlements, workflows, accounting module etc
- Fluent in English
- Ability to explain technical concepts to those that are non-technical
