Our Client, an international retail company, is seeking to recruit an open-minded and ambitious individual to strengthen their local operations. Currently we are looking for one suitable candidate for the Category Manager position dedicated to Home Textile Category.
You will report directly to the Sector Director and your main duties will be:
- Developing and optimizing category direct import in the organization - Engaging and managing relationships with Company's key stakeholders - Formalizing and delivering vendor sourcing plans, managing vendor performance and engagement - Supervising purchasing and sales budgets - Negotiating commercial conditions in order to improve price competitiveness, deliver margin gains, improve payment and reduce stocks at destination - Developing ranges and product offers in-line with Company's expectations using market knowledge as well as style and trend guidelines
- At least 5 years experience as Category Manager, and 3 years in Procurement position - Higher level of education (business management is preferable) - Commercial awareness and good understanding of market and customers - Proven track record in sourcing industry or retail operations - Proven experience in working with China and India - Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills - Very good people management and leadership skills - Ability to adapt to different requirements - Fluent in Polish and English - High level of flexibility and willingness to travel to visit suppliers
