Altogether with group companies and 3rd parties, the clients are operating in different fields, including but not limited to, education, consulting services, investment, international trading, renewable energy, real estate and in many countries besides Poland i.e. UK, Netherlands, Greece, Portugal, Austria, Germany and so on. We are dealing with many different needs of corporates and end users. For the successful candidate, there will be many challenges in future considering the fact the group is developing more and more at day by day. The successful candidate will be dealing with responsibilities stated below, initially. But, depending on the growth of all organization and on increasing volume of transactions and business opportunities, there will be many other new challenging tasks and responsibilities. Also, based on growth, the Accounting team will be expanded too.

Chief Accountant
Location: Warszawa
Job description
- Controlling full company accounting
- Participation in the preparation of the solo and consolidated financial statements
- Calculation of VAT and CIT taxes and preparation of tax return
- Reporting for internal and external needs
- Cooperation with the auditor
- Participation in the creation of new accounting processes and procedures and improvement of existing ones
- Keeping a register of fixed assets
- Developing and implementing processes and procedures and participate in global process improvements
- Contact person for local Tax Authorities
- Accounting & monthly closing of financial accounts
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all accounts in accordance with IFRS
- Preparation of transfer pricing reports
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
- Strong analytical skills
- At least 5 years of experience from similar role(s)
- Excellent communication skills in English and Polish
- A sense of autonomy, initiative, and responsibility
- Ability to work independently, while demonstrating flexibility
- Experience from working with external auditors
- Good understanding of priorities, and 100% respect for deadlines
- Knowledge of tax
- Experience in working with ERP systems is welcome (preferably Symfonia)
- Results-oriented with a strong track record of successful delivery
- Ability to work in virtual teams, across functions, and across borders
- Want-to-help attitude towards co-workers, and partners
- The ability to think analytically and draw conclusions
- Independence, meticulousness and reliability
- Ability to work in virtual teams, across functions, and across borders
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent
- Professional accounting designation, CPA or equivalent
