Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Your responsibilities include overall ownership of the software architecture, its evolution and new feature design, development, testing & deployment.The Intelligent Middleware hides the complexity and technicalities of modern public safety communications systems - LTE, ASTRO (P25) and Dimetra (TETRA), including standalone as well as converged systems. It provides easy to use, scalable and reliable access to Location, Presence, Mapping, Messaging and Group Management services for large amount of mobile and server applications. Access to the services and processed data is made available for 2nd & 3rd-party developers via API. The Intelligent Middleware is now moving into Cloud (AWS) and you will be driving necessary architecture changes and refactoring of existing services to a full SaaS solution. This product is entirely developed, tested and released for customers in our R&D center in Krakow , Poland. Our projects are carried out exclusively using Agile and Scrum approach.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Required Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or related field
• Experience building large-scale, reliable high-performance software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• 5+ years of hands-on coding and design experience in middleware or cloud technologies
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skillsOptional Requirements
• Experience building microservice-based architectures, high performance event processing using Kafka, Spark, Storm and efficient data processing with ElasticSearch, NoSQL
• Knowledge of Big Data architectures and understanding its trade-offs
• Understanding of application, server, and network security and government requirements such as HIPAA or CJIS
