The department specializes in developing public safety telecommunication software. Our products provide interoperability for leading manufacturers of Apco25 and Tetra standards based communication networks.

We are looking for engineers who are interested in developing their skills related to call processing software in large telecommunications systems with focus on interconnectivity and interoperability.

• You will work across multiple scrum teams
• You will contribute to the design of the differentcloud micro services  when developing software, from architecture design, through coding to configuring deployments.
• You will help design the application deployment in Microsoft Azure
• You will ensure the security, safety and performance of our Kubernetes deployment
• You will contribute to our end-to-end pipeline development
• You will be using functional programming languages such as Elixir, solving complex programming challenges

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

• Desire to excel as a software developer specializing in cloud and very excited to learn more and build up your skill set
• You are a Back-End or Full-Stack developer
• You worked on a production application in Azure
• You are familiar with the Java language.
• Experience with using Kubernetes in production
• Practical knowledge of Linux operating system
• Knowledge of networking protocols and IP programming on Linux.
• English language skills

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of Erlang/Elixir or other concurrent (functional) programming language
• Knowledge of Open Telecom Platform (OTP)
• Used Kubernetes for soft real-time and/or high availability applications
• Familiarity with development practices such as Agile and Scrum
• Worked with or learned about RabbitMQ or other message brokers
• Good understanding of distributed systems and resilient applications
• Knowledge of cybersecurity in cloud environments 
• Knowledge of Apco25 Standard and Astro System Architecture
