Commodity Manager
Our Client is an international, leading pharmaceutical and healthcare company. For their expanding operations in Europe, we are looking to recruit a Commodity Manager who will ensure efficient and cost effective procurement of raw materials. Based in Poznań, this person will report operationally to Head of Category abroad.
Job description:
- Create and develop regional commodity sourcing strategy for raw materials
- Lead commodity to achieve assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, cost and innovation
- Advise on global supplier network capabilities, commodity trends and industry best practices
- Ensure supplier contracts provide protection for the Company, including its intellectual property
- Lead strategic relationships with critical suppliers providing secure and cost effective sources for relevant commodities.
- Ensure timely negotiation of all agreements as well as security of supply and risk management
- Report directly to the Head of Procurement based abroad
- Master Degree in Economics or Engineering
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in procurement in FMCG sector
- Able to rapidly forge close business relationships with specialized supplier network
- Technical knowledge of major commodity groups: chemicals and other raw ingredients
- Able to work in diverse environments and adhere to highest ethical standards
- Able to form win-win partnerships with other & to overcome objections to deliver business goals
- Able to work in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment
- Demonstrated cross-functional team work
- Fluent English and Polish
