A person on this position will be obligated to:
– work with digital and printing materials,
– do native’s revision of corporate messages (e.g. vocabulary, grammar, writing style),
– correct the texts by removing errors (spelling, punctuation, basic formatting),
– suggest improvements in storytelling,
– review the quality of narration and coherence of style,
– polish the language of authors all over the world,
– make sure the meaning of each text is clear,
– simplify a professional content,
– do fact-checking,
– review the corporate data and sources,
– proof the text before and after breaking it up,
– collate documents,
– check the composition and its accordance with the style guide and brand book,
– provide comprehensive support to marketing, PR and communication teams.
The editor should also make sure that:
– creative taglines and body copy are grammatically sound while retaining the original creative concepts,
– texts and diagrams are positioned correctly,
– page numbers are in the correct order,
– all documents follow the agreed style,
– chapter titles match the list of contents,
– there are no confusing words, column, or page breaks,
– illustrations have the correct captions and relate to the text,
– all layouts are logical and attractive .
– Native English speaker with solid language and editorial knowledge
– A Master’s degree in communication, academic editing, English language and literature, journalism or relevant field
– Passion for writing and communicating across cultures
– Familiarity with publishing trends and modern media
– Proven proofreading experience with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
– Interest in typesetting, design, contemporary advertising and content marketing
– Fluency in rewriting articles within a defined tone of voice
– A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe tools
– Ability to multitask and work under pressure
– Scrupulousness, having observant eyes
– Passion, drive and good taste
