Job Description
- Perform ongoing analysis of enterprisedata stores to make sure the overall architecture remains appropriate andoptimal for current and planned usage.
- Participation in requirements gatheringsessions, technical specifications, architectural design, and supportdevelopment as it relates to database design, access, and utilization
- Able to quickly understand how data ishandled, the overall direction relative to systems of record and how datacompliance and regulations affect the handling of data among applications andthe overall design recommendations
- A minimum of 8 years in the IT industry with hands-on experience as a Datawarehousing application developer
- 5+ years full softwaredevelopment lifecycle experience on enterprise warehouse technologies (SQLServer 2008 and / or Oracle 11g)
- Expertise with data modeling tools,specifically ERwin is required
- Expertise designing data architecturethat support Web based applications as well as data warehouse/businessintelligence driven applications.
- Expertise in designing data architecturesthat support both web and real-time integrations.
- Proven expertise withenterprise wide exposure to data management across multiple applications andsystems.
- Exposure to Master Data Management forCustomer and/or knowledge of best practices and solutions.
- Conceptual, logical and physical datamodeling (transactional, dimensional, star schema, snowflake schemas, highlynormalized data models, operational data stores).
- Communication skills (oral and written).
- Overall data architecture and datawarehouse concepts.
- Logical / physical data modeling conceptsand design.
