Data Processing Engine Developer

Responsibilites
- Writing Data Ingestion and Processing engine based on PL/SQL code to implement business logic by developing and amending stored procedures.
- Developing and implementing new features and change requests to existing functionality in data processing engine over Oracle databases.
- Participation in the data ingestion design, specification and implementation process.
- Ensure timely delivery of requirements in line with project milestones.
- Report regular progress to project leaders and the Project Manager.
Proportion of duties:
- approx. 50% - new development
- up to 25% - testing
- up to 25% - maintenance of existing code
Project details:
- Stage: New deliveries / Production operation
- Methodology: Kanban/Scrum like
- Technologies used: Actimize Vendor platform, Bash/Perl, Oracle DB, PowerShell on Windows
Requirements
As an Junior Data Processing Engine Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Participation in data modelling and/or delivering database based solutions - SQL queries, PL/SQL code
- Prior experience in ETL processes design and implementation, data lifecycle management
- Experience with Oracle Database engine.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- A self-starter who can proactively engage with peers with can-do attitude.
Desirable:
- Professional background of working on commercial projects of any scale.
- Working experience with: Jira, SVN, Enterprise architect
- Hands on experience in using Unix/Linux operating systems and practice in bash/perl scripting
- Know-how of UML methodology
