Purpose of the role
To produce standard reports by extracting, converting and validating data, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness of data for management reporting and planning purposes across the IAG group To support planning and forecasting processes with tasks managed through system workflows
Accountabilities:
• Follow standard procedures to populate and renew data in standard reports and planning tool
• Review data to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Conduct regular data sampling and testing using best practice principles
• Investigate, interrogate and resolve data errors within approval levels, if required
• Communicate and escalate data errors and inconsistencies to data users and reference data management team
• Manage the standard data validation and correction process ensuring queries are resolved
• Drive the continuous improvement of planning and reporting processes with deep understanding of finance and data sets
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree or equivalent level of education
• Working towards (early stages) finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is an advantage
• Ability to operate effectively in an fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines and finite resources
• Strong business and financial acumen
• Ability to prioritise and maintain clear focus in constant ambiguity and change
• Excellent analytical and lateral thinking skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A strong customer focus, committed to exceeding customer expectations and continuous improvement
• Ability to challenge process and drive change
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem solving skills and resilience to resolve issues
• Excellent English language skills
• Working knowledge of Spanish is an asset
• Knowledge of finance processes and some relevant MI experience in a Shared Service (BPO) environment
• Experience working on a large project with accountability of delivering results that support the overall project objectives
• Experience working in financial process transition situations is an asset
• Proven ability to work with large data sets
