Job Purpose:
The Database Administration Senior Analyst will work in P2X Migration team, mainly performing Oracle database administration work. Person will need to understand the customer environment and customized tools products being used and work on them. Person should be a quick learner, highly self-motivated and willing to work in teams and in shifts/weekends if required.
Responsibilities:
- SQL Performance and Tuning
- Identify and recommend changes to poorly performing SQL to the application developers, object statistics gathering, data level migration, schedule application jobs to perform data housekeeping and maintenance
- Review and recommend efficiencies in application design as it relates to the operationalization of the applications.
- Perform data migration, and redaction utilizing approved tools and process
- Develop capacity model based on requirements
- Monitor database for growth and respond to any application issues
- Ability to perform 24x7 support, resolve production incidents on time and troubleshoot issues on production systems
Requirements:
- 3 years of working experience in a similar position
- Fluency in English
- Oracle RAC
- Oracle 10g Administration
- Golden Gate - nice to have
- Shell scripting - relevant
