- Provide day-to-day, hands-on technical support of production and development SQL Server instances running on Windows Server
- Work as part of a technical support team (L2, L3) delivering a quality service to multiple clients using a variety of hardware and software product in a follow-the-sun support model.
- Resolve incidents affecting the operation/availability of high profile production systems
- Degree in technical subject
- Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases on administration level and willingness to learn other database systems like Sybase ASE, Oracle, MySQL.
- Ability to work in Windows Server 2003/2008 environment. Unix/Linux systems will be an advantage
- Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Good English communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team and in co-operation with other teams and third parties
- Experience with Sybase Unwired Platform (SUP) and mobile products like Afaria will be an advantage
- DBA Certification will be an advantage
- Experience on similar position within multinational company will be an advantage
- Proven experience with MySQL databases on administration level will be an advantage
