The role is accountable for the following activities:
- Use database documentation, including product data standards and procedures to import and export customer data into;
- Understand and document definitions for the data dictionary (metadata);
- Provide technical and/or business assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing customer data models;
- Develop, coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing;
- Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures;
- Monitor and document post-implementation problems and revision requests;
- Write description of steps taken to modify system and procedures required to implement new software;
- Provide problem solving, technical, and business expertise in the design, testing, and deployment of business applications;
- Create clear, detailed documents of systems requirements including workflow and functionality requirements, data requirements, data integrity requirements, and reporting requirements;
- Create calculations and reports using NM system tools;
- National and international travel may be required.
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in computer science, information sciences or a related field;
- A thorough understanding of RDBMS, especially Oracle and SQL Server;
- Knowledge of Oracle development environment SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, UNIX shell scripting;
- Data modelling and validation skills;
- Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel;
- Basic understanding of Operating systems (Windows and Linux);
- Positive, proactive personality;
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver results per plan;
- Ability to work independently and within the framework of a team;
- Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English;
- Knowledge of GIS technologies is a plus;
- An understanding of cyber security best practices is a plus.
