Purpose of the role
Perform debt management and trade finance operations in line with Treasury policies Assist in financing transactions and management reporting Provide first point of contact to BPO (Bucharest) for processes outsourced relating to Debt.
Accountabilities
- Daily debt position management, control and policy compliance
- Support the negotiations and administration of:
- Letters of credit
- Bank guarantees
- Standby letters of credit
- Corporate guarantees
- Promissory notes
- Bank borrowings
- Administration of debt facilities including operating leases and secured bank facilities.
- Administer draw down of finance facilities for new aircrafts
- Perform analysis and reports on:
- Debt exposure
- Funding costs
- Leases
- Interest rate profile (i.e. fixed vs. floating)
- Margins
- Aircraft financing arrangements
- Support financing transactions cycle
- Identification of funding requirements and communication to IAG Treasury.

- Debt Manager COE
- Group Treasury, Operating Companies’ Treasury Business Partners;
- BPO Provider.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications
- Education to degree level plus either formal treasury / accounting qualification or equivalent;
Skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Operates with a high degree of independence and autonomy: demonstrated by strong planning, organizational, time management, negotiating, and decision making skills
- Working knowledge of the languages of the countries of our operating companies is an asset
- Working knowledge of Spanish is particularly important
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a multinational company
- Debt management and trade finance operations technical knowledge;
