Embedded C/C++ Software Developer

Key Responsibilities: 

• The design, development and maintenance of terminal application software
• Work, both unsupervised, and as part of a team, in order to achieve the required targets. - Liaise with the Software QA team to support software testing and user acceptance procedures
• Maintain an understanding and knowledge of key industry trends related to payment systems software and hardware
• Provide assistance and input into the planning and implementation of software development projects to both internal business units and external customers
• Provide technical support for released application software, working with customer support team

Experience / Skills:

• Educated to degree standard, preferably in a computing or engineering related discipline. - A minimum of 2 years professional application development experience in C and/or C++. - Designing and programming for embedded systems experience
• The ability to effectively analyze, design, and document customer technical requirements. - Practical knowledge of C++ STL, XML, UML, TCP/IP protocols family. Knowledge of payment systems and related communications technologies like ISO 8583, EMV etc. will be an advantage
• Reporting to: Development Manager Main Purpose of Job: The design and development of payment systems software, providing solutions to meet customer requirements
