The successful candidate will have to ensure effective service and high product availability for the whole Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.



Job description

The role of EMEA Planning Manager is a very challenging position that requires strong interpersonal skills and significant experience to lead planning activities in the second biggest region in the organization which consists of more than 20 markets.
The EMEA turnover is more than 400 million euros and the region has approximately 1,500 employees whereof 1,000 employees in the supply chain and operations area.

The key goals of EMEA Planning Manager are to:

- Secure high product availability with optimal inventory levels
- Develop and implement regional planning procedures, processes and models
- Constantly challenge current supply chain to seek improvement opportunities
- Lead regional planning projects
- Cooperate with global supply to optimize current supply lead-times
- Prioritize within the region when product shortage occurs and recommend substitute products.
- Secure correct processes to have correct system inventory levels

The role is, as well, highly commercial and responsible for growing sales, EBIT and return on assets by:

- assuring high level of product availability in each picking location within the markets

- reducing the investment in & carrying costs of inventory by implementing optimal inventory targets

- avoiding obsolescence through effective product lifecycle management



Who we are looking for

This is a high-profile leadership role with a regional remit in a corporate global company so you\'ll be expected to make an impact, deliver results and raise the performance of the function from day one. To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate previous success of working on the (at least) senior position in planning team within a large corporation where you have developed strategies by asserting inspirational leadership.
You will be commercially minded and a master of innovation and leading changes.

Please only apply for this role if you can demonstrate an impressive track record in the following;

- Expertise in demand planning (preferably with regional responsibility, complex distribution, important number of SKU, etc.)
- Substantial business operational expertise and strong commercial acumen
- Interpersonal and Project Management skills with proven successes in this field
- Well developed ability to network at all levels of the organisation
- Demonstrated ability to influence diverse cultures and dispersed teams
- Proficient in using Supply Chain Planning systems (i.e. JDA) and best practice initiatives will be an advantage
- Degree level education or equivalent in relevant discipline
