Job Description
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Accountant will play an important role to the accounting team, supporting month-end accounting duties and being involved in various finance projects and other ad-hoc work.
- Participate in transition process from local Avigilon team
- Work out best cooperation model to satisfy customer needs
- Assist with month end duties as required, including posting journal entries and preparing related working papers
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Assist with the preparation and filing of sales tax returns
- Assist with tax assessments
- Preparation of monthly ledger reconciliations as required
- Assist with testing of internal controls
- Provide support for the quarterly review process
- Liaise with colleagues at various levels to ensure completeness of financial information
- Ensure all financial deadlines are met in an accurate and timely manner
- Assist with process improvement projects as required
- Preparation of annual reports for international branches
- Track intercompany transactions
- Other duties as required from time to time
- Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- Working knowledge of accounting (1-3 year of experience)
- Ability to work on mixed shift (US hours + Regular hours)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Excellent English skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Detail-oriented
- Customer oriented and team player
- Willingness to travel
