For the BI & Decision Support division, for our client, SDC, we are looking for a talented Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Operations specialist. The consultant will share the daily ETL operations responsibility with a dedicated team in Denmark.
B2B contract: 1st contract until the end of 2016 + expected extensions
Where? Domaniewska, Warsaw
Work time: Irregular, but balanced. The consultant is expected to take shifts (from 4 to 12 hours, also night shifts, when trained properly). Typically 3-4 shifts a year.
Job description:
The job is a combination of daily operational surveillance, operational backlog and development assignments. The number one priority is stable daily EDW operation delivery.
Facts about the position:
SAS DI is the main ETL tool. Transformations are a combination of SAS DI and pushdown Teradata SQL. Data delivery is mainly Mainframe driven and Scheduling is handled via OPC (Tivoli workload scheduler).
SDC uses ITIL Service Management standards for daily operations (Incidents, Changes, Problems, etc.)
The candidate will get at local mentor for day to day contact, training and coordination.

- The consultant is experienced in Data Warehousing and Native SQL (pushdown) with a strong understanding of workflow scheduling.
- Practical experience in creating ETLs
- Excellent English skills
- Business understanding, banking area
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to follow-up
- SAS DI experience is a benefit but not a requirement.
- Experience with Teradata
- Experience with OPC and Teradata Database is desirable.
- Experience within multi country, multi bank implementation.
- Knowledge of either Danish, Swedish or Norwegian will be a tremendous advantage
