As the FO IT IMM Infrastructure Specialist / Environment Manager, you will be responsible for the IMM programme infrastructure maintenance and deployments. That includes DEV, QA, UAT and partially PROD environments. Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Software deployments – releases to DEV, QA and UAT environments
- Environment Management - working closely with the infrastructure teams to maintain all development and test environment, keeping the lights on, configuration management and monitoring to ensure minimal impact to the team
- Capacity Management – analysis of capacity and performance, capacity planning, decommissioning
- Working closely with the Project Manager, Release Manager and development teams representatives regarding their environment needs
- Working closely with the Release Manager to ensure smooth and successful production releases
- Development and optimization of the existing deployment routines
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of software development life-cycle and development methodologies
- Good communication skills, including the ability to actively listen and interpret
- Written communication skills – clear, understandable and unambiguous documentation and emails are a part of the role
- Proficiency with SVN
- Very good knowledge of MSBuild or Nant
- JIRA or other issue tracking system
- Proficiency with TeamCity
- Scripting knowledge (e.g. PowerShell)

The IMM (Internal Model Method) program is a multi-phase, multi-year initiative designed to reduce operational costs for the IB. As the IMM IT Infrastructure Specialist / Environment Manager you will be part of a team of developers working on several mission critical systems, tasked with designing, developing and delivering functionalities specific for EPE and Backtesting projects.
The role is within Risk Technology IT area. The role will require interaction with the front office, credit risk (CRO IT), and product control areas, so communication as well as technical skills are important to succeed. While we will be primarily focused on hiring a development team, candidates with specific experience in Support, QA, and Infrastructure will also be considered. The candidate will be working in the team of about 50 people including developers, BAs, QAs and support personnel. The team is located in Wroclaw, London and New York.
The system is based on the .NET Framework (C#, WWF, WCF), SQL Server and multiple internal technologies.
