Environmental Designer/Engineer
Location: Wrocław
Job description
- Involvement in projects related to the design of wastewater treatment components, pumping stations and hydraulic design calculations, based on process designer assumptions
- Preparation of tender documents and technical specifications
- Leading project alone, or under guidance of other more experienced staff
- Cooperation with other project leaders from COWI companies in Denmark, Sweden and Norway
- Coordination of inter-disciplinary projects and supervision of subordinate assistant designers
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in planning and design of environmental/ /mechanical engineering related to installations for domestic water and wastewater plants
- Experience in design based on Autocad Plant 3D or other 3D software and P&ID. Preferably experience/knowledge of PDMS
- Experience in working with EN and other international standards
- Candidate should be able to perform design of hydraulic (pipe sizing and overall geometry of structures) and mechanical installations of e.g. a secondary clarifier, a grit and grease chamber, a pumping station etc.
- Candidate should be able to produce P&ID diagrams during the design process. The works should be developed from initial phase with P&ID sketch and 3D sketch to final detailed design drawing 3D and 2D ready to be issued for construction
- Very good English
- Good knowledge of Bentley or Autodesk environment
- Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels
- Availability for short trips abroad
- Design Certificate not required, but highly appreciated
