This position is responsible for managing customer accounts daily activities and provides expertise to operational decisions regarding those accounts. The Account Executive role must balance customer needs with business objectives. AE will work with members of the Business, Supply Chain and Third Party vendors to develop and execute customer specific account plans to improve efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
A successful candidate for this position will have an opportunity to work in a global, multi-cultural environment, managing the supply of pulp produced in US mills to customers located in various parts of the world. The job offers an opportunity to broaden the knowledge of Pulp market, international logistics, export processes and supply chain solutions.
- Effectively handle strategic, high volume and challenging accounts; respond to customer inquiries expeditiously, offer alternatives and exhibit leadership.
- Provide excellent customer service level in accordance to established performance criteria.
- Handle logistics issues and exceptions, manage through complex supply chains involving export, ocean freight and container shipments
- Develop partnership with internal departments and 3rd party logistics to deliver business results and better service platforms.
- Work in a team environment
- Proactively provide back-up support to other accounts during critical periods of order activities
- Contribute to business financial targets through cost to serve management and NPI participation
- Resolving requests and inquiries to the customer’s satisfaction while achieving business objectives
- Constantly developing business acumen
- Managing internal & external needs in a changing and dynamic environment
- Working with internal departments and Sales to become a partner of choice for customers.
- Understanding foreign cultures and utilizing this knowledge to effectively manage international accounts
- Understanding export trade documentation and procedures
- Resolving issues to improve customer satisfaction while adhering to IP business rules
- Proactively supporting e-business solutions with customers.
- Adhering to the value of teamwork
- Good command of Japanese, fluency in English required
- High customer orientation and commitment
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills along with analytical and problem solving skills
- Good understanding of order management and customer service processes
- Proficiency in IP systems and ability to multitask
- Solid business knowledge
- Proven track of experience in business related fields
- Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word programs
