Finance Analyst / Junior Finance Analyst in Consulting with German (m/f)
Responsibilities:
- Support the DACH Regional Finance Director for the accuracy of the monthly Financial Results of the Consulting Practice as well as for the performance analysis.
- Support the forecast process and ensure both revenue and margin are predictable.
- Challenge the performance both operational and financial looking at all the revenue and margin drivers: pipeline, backlog, project health and profitability, revenue recognition as well as utilization, subcontractor usage.
- Prepare annual budget as per corporate guidance and timetable.
Responsibilities:
- Run weekly forecast report as per the global process, review/challenge and submit to the practice leader for management review, submit as per the agreed deadline.
- Review both revenue and costs on a monthly basis as per the corporate close schedule and ensure that all corrections are posted and reflected within the close time frame.
- Being responsible of the review and accuracy of the subcontractor accrual including the reconciliation of vendor invoices and time-sheets, with a particular attention to the AP cut-off.
- Prepare a financial commentary documenting/analysing the key trend/variance of the monthly actual versus budget and forecast, including operational metrics.
- Provide insight on spending issues and project activity in line with current financial policies
- Use the global standardized reports (SMART reports) when available, giving more details/context to understand the practice performance.
- Work effectively and closely with the relevant Finance Director and/or Senior Analyst for the region and complete any other tasks as required by the line manager.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and/ or German.
- Economical, accounting or finance educational background.
- Experience in project control would be an asset.
- At least 1.5 years of experience on the similar position.
- High attention to the details.
- Customer oriented personality.
- Great communication skills.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
