- Managing the Entity Accounting and Reporting process for the EMEA region to ensure Core Service is delivered in full compliance with Corporate policies and procedures, GBS internal procedures and within Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
- Establishing the governance for GBS process documentation (IFRS, Statutory requirements, process steps) for the markets in scope
- Securing successful transition of the processes from markets to GBS
- Ramping up the team of c. 60-70 people
- Active participation in due diligence and validation process
- Active participation in designing and implementing key performance metrics
- Liaising with key stakeholders (global process owners, local and regional finance directors, CFOs and controllers, GBS leadership, transition managers etc.) with the objective to understand, manage and deliver to expectations
- Exercising leadership presence and leading by example
- Managing Team Performance and Development – serving as a coach and mentor to group of leads reporting directly to you
- Building safe and thriving environment for team members
- Being key to designing and executing the ways of working and that support the strategy and culture of JTI GBS
- University degree (Accounting or Finance).
- A professional qualification of ACCA, CPA, CIMA or an equivalent is a significant plus
- Knowledge of statutory accounting principles for some of the countries within the cluster is an advantage
- At least 5-7 years of experience in a multinational company including managerial experience in a Shared Service Centre environment
- Solid leadership experience [3+ years] with proven track of building high performing and engaged teams
- Exposure to start up mode a considerable advantage
- Adapt in transition methodology and setting up a service excellence landscape
- Capable of hands on approach to accounting, tax, Statutory and other relevant reporting
- Solid project management skills
- Good strategic thinking
- Strong command of English Language (oral and written)
- Mature leader promoting inclusive and diverse culture
- Ambitious individual in love with continuous learning
- With strong communication and influencing skills
- Seeing opportunity in and with capability to adapt to ever changing environment and requirements
