About our client
Our client belongs to one of the most significant groups in the communication services sector, employing over 100,000 people worldwide and providing high-class services to the most recognized brands. Due to further growth, the decision has been made to create the position of Finance Manager to lead the finance and accounting team, reporting directly to the President of the Board and to the Regional Finance Team. For this role, we are looking for a dedicated, hands-on, business-oriented finance professional. Job description
- Participate in the company strategy development by providing management board with sound financial advice and business performance measures
- Be responsible for timely, accurate and comprehensive financial information
- Manage monthly close/reporting process (both Group and Statutory), forecasting and budgeting exercises
- Ensure proper management and forecasting of working capital and balance sheet, local tax and statutory requirements as well as internal and external audit requirements
- Establish a sound system of internal controls across the organization in line with Group policies as well as local regulations and practices
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team
- Provide financial guidance to senior management and staff on financial best practice, control and compliance issues
- Cooperate with local services providers, auditors, lawyers and banks
Who we are looking for
- Relevant academic background in accounting / finance; professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) will be a strong asset
- At least 5 to 7 years experience gained in top auditing firm and / or in a controlling position in an international environment with team management experience
- Experience in the communication / media sector will be an advantage
- Demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills to review business and make sound recommendations
- Proven ability to have an eye for detail and keep sight of the broad picture at the same time
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedicated team player with decision-making abilities
- Solid knowledge of IFRS / USGAAP and SOX compliance
