Fund Accounting Manager

Job description

Valuations Department (part of a global unit Markets & Securities Services) is responsible for calculation and verification of the Net Asset Value (NAV) of Citi Clients' funds in line with the fund prospectus. This includes monitoring and review of the activity taking place within the fund including but not limited to the verification of security trading, security valuations, corporate action events, income and expense accruals, derivative positions, and reconciliation of accounting records to the custodian.

• Managing the team and the Valuations process
• Supporting Fund Accounting Team and team members in terms of current issues resolving
• Analysing, identifying and introducing potential improvements resulting in decreasing of operational risk at the team level
• Supervising operational procedures and ensuring they are correct and up to date
• Liaising with internal clients (other operational Units) as well as Technology, Product and Account Managers in terms of informing about operational processes
• Delivering and approving documentation describing functional changes of the operational System (improving current reports, System’s functionality changes)
• Operational Systems and reports  testing in cooperation with Implementation Teams and internal clients
• Preparing and updating operational and control procedures as well as ensuring their execution
• Assessing operational risk for new implementation Projects 
• Participating in meetings and teleconferences concerning the Team and the Department
• Managing relationship with Auditors
• Supporting budgeting process for Fund accounting Department and budget execution
• Supporting initiatives related to Continuity of Business (COB) process
• Supporting and coordinating team/section in extraordinary scenarios requiring wider knowledge and expertise
• Initiating and leading effective communication with business partners and being a Department representative
• Providing control, review and approval of processes, operational procedures, reports and daily work of other team members

Requirements

• Experience in Team Management
• At least  5 years of experience in institutions operating on a capital market
• Higher Education, preferably economics or science
• Good knowledge of Investment Funds business or Transfer Agency
• Wide expertise in the field of local and international Investment Funds
• Fluent English
• Ability to work in a Dynamic environment under time pressure
• Ability to prepare and analyse statements and statistics
• Ability to Inspire, Motivate and Develop a team of around 8/12 individuals
