The General Ledger Accountant will be the part of the first core GL team in the newly developed Shared Services Center in Warsaw and will report to the General Accounting Manager. Responsibilities will focus on the following areas:
Responsibilities:

Perform close procedures on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

Prepare, code and record journal entries in nominal ledger

Compile, adjust and evaluate accruals for assigned business units to ensure accuracy

Close cooperation with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams

Perform financial statement reviews, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions

Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial information is presented at period-end

Update monthly account reconciliations Research and resolve un reconciling items.

Prepare monthly reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information for business unit purposes

Provide audit support

Continuously identify, develop and implement process improvements and internal controls
Knowledge and Experience:

Solid knowledge of accounting processes and controls
-
University degree with a major in finance, business or accounting or accounting professional qualifications,
-
Preferred 2+ years of related professional experience

Experience in using Oracle General Ledger would be a plus

Proficiency in English
