Our client is an international organization providing research and analytics services to corporate clients and financial institutions across the globe - a leader in its market segment. To support the further growth of their business center in Wrocław - we are seeking to recruit a senior and dynamic General Manager to manage their Polish operations.
- Lead a dynamic and entrepreneurial team providing global support to clients in their research needs
- Extensively interact with investment banking, banking, insurance and corporate clients (prospective and existing) to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Ensure the further growth of the team consisting of highly analytical and top-caliber finance and quant professionals,
- Meet demanding client expectations by creating appropriate processes, systems, training etc.
- Create strategies for talent attraction and retention - talent sourcing in the region
- Mentor the growth of analysts and senior analysts, helping them in defining and achieving their career path aspirations.
- Strategize and implement branding for the company in the region
- Supervise staff in managing the administration, legal, statutory, compliance, accounting, infrastructure and other requirements of the Polish entity
- Educated to university degree level, MBA will be an asset
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience within leading financial institutions
- Experience in major investment banking firms / consulting firms / equity or fixed income research departments in leading brokerages / research departments of leading commercial banks will be preferred
- Alternatively: experience in managing a business center dedicated to servicing financial institutions
- Proven track record of leading a team of highly talented, ambitious and educated knowledge professionals
- Should have a good understanding of the local talent market and be able to build and leverage relationships with universities and vendors
- Experience in building and managing large teams will be a strong asset (100+)
- Highly motivated self-starter with a track record of initiative and achievement.
- Ability to work independently, deal with ambiguity and think out of box to develop solutions
- Strong relationship-building skills
