Purpose of the role:
• Develop and implement the Fast/Spot Buy procurement activities for IAG
• Support the integration and harmonization of Fast/Spot Buy strategies across the group
Accountabilities:
• Develop streamlined techniques and end-to-end processes for low-value Fast/Spot procurement
• Use best practice tools to develop new and more effective ways of working
• Help to shape guidelines and timetable for group wide spot and fast buy processes
• Implement simple and clear metrics for governance, success measurement and performance management
• Track and validate year-on-year cost reduction activity
• Build relationships with operating company stakeholders to ensure buy-in and adherence to practices, processes and metrics
• Resolve issues and serve as an expert to provide advice and guidance to end users on spot and fast buy processes, providing training as required
• Lead on projects to drive continuous improvement for the group
• Negotiate prices and terms with external suppliers
• Challenge internal stakeholders on specifications and requirements
• Identify the optimal solution for the group, including exploration of innovative options
• Ensure compliance with group procurement policy'

Qualifications:
• Degree and/or the ability to demonstrate knowledge of working in a purchasing environment
Skills:
• Business and financial acumen
• Ability to write clear, concise management reports and presentations
• Ability to negotiate commercial terms with diverse suppliers
• Ability to influence, align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved and break down barriers that get in way of effective team working.
• Ability to prioritise and maintain clear focus in constant ambiguity and change
• Ability to operate effectively in an environment with tight deadlines and finite resource and uncertainty.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Working knowledge of the languages of the countries of our operating companies is an asset: working knowledge of Spanish is particularly important
Experience:
• Experience using e-technology
• Demonstrated experience in a procurement buying role (including fast paced, sub 100,000 euro low value-sourcing)
• Able to identify opportunities where spot/Fast Buy process will improve an organisation’s profitability
