For our client – fast growing, independent energy supplier we are looking for a Hadoop Administrator whose job will concentrate around leading the architechture and engineering of the Big Data Environment.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain multiple Hadoop Clusters
- Manage Hadoop clusters
- Install new software releases, system upgrades, patches, and evaluation of stability
- Tuning of servers, applications and Hadoop Infrastructure
- Focus on process automation and documentation of processes and troubleshooting guides
- Drive technical vision throughout the product development, direction and ultimately successful implementation
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of working with Hadoop
- Hands-on experience using Java / Python and SQL
- Linux administration skills
- Proficiency in shell scripting
