The Cisco® High-Touch Engineer is a customer"s designated Cisco engineer whose expertise matches customer's business processes and network infrastructure. This is a person who knows the customer's network and interacts with the customer. High Touch Engineer supervises and enhances high incident troubleshooting to meet the customer's needs.
The team works mostly remotely (virtual office), sporadic travels may be required. Working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM CET.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Works for worldwide customers, in cooperation with other Cisco teams, to solve problems and enhance future products with limited supervision.
• Solves reported product and network problems of moderate and high complexity,
• Prepares external/internal Root Cause Analysis for complex cases.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Typically requires university degree equivalent plus 3-6 years of experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment
• Advanced knowledge of Routing and Switching (must have, at least CCNP)
• Aditionally, good knowledge of at least one: Data Center, Wireless, Security, Voice, Service Provider
• Effective Troubleshooting and Analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Considered as an advantage:
• Bachelor"s or Master's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication or equivalent)
• Experience in designing, deploying & supporting Cisco Solutions
• Operation and configuration of Cisco's data center and network devices (e.g. Nexus, Catalyst routers, switches, Load Balancers, Storage Networks, Application Optimizers, UCS Server technologies, and VMWare Virtualization)
• Good Knowledge of Cisco IOS
• CCIE certified
