Scope of responsibilities:
- Manage the operations of the hotel in order to maximize profitability and to ensure Mercure guest promise and product quality
- Implement sales, distribution and pricing strategies in order to achieve set economic targets,
- Apply established standards and provide the highest quality of products and service,
- Establish, build up and support long-term business relationships,
- Organize the work of employees and manage the team,
- Prepare budgets and supervise its implementation and operation,
- Optimize the costs of hotel operation,
- Evaluate changes in guest needs, the guest mix and competitive set, to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes as necessary
- Ensure guest and employee satisfaction, while maintaining market competitiveness and financial performance
- Work directly with the Human Resources function, to ensure appropriate hiring, training, motivating, coaching, counseling and developing of team members
- Effectively communicate with team members
- Be an inspiration and example to all hotel staff to achieve superior levels of performance
- Empower the team and improve guests satisfaction by Mercure Touch implementation
Our expectations
- Minimum of 5 years operational management experience with a previous General Manager experience
- A strong leadership oriented toward inspiration, talent development, team empowerment and cooperation
- A strong understanding of hotel operations and administration to include, budgeting, forecasting, human resources, sales and marketing
- Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches
- Must have sales, distribution, pricing, and revenue management competencies
- Must perform well under stress and be adaptable to changing work environments
- Must have strong decision making skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communication at all levels
- Ability to manage complex relations
- Ability to train and develop team members
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software)
