Job description
Responsibility
The ICT operations manager is responsible for the smooth functioning of all hardware and software systems in the company and for the support to the users in order to ensure and optimize continuity of the business.
Tasks
- Takes care of uptime and availability of end user related hardware and software: PCs, printers, barcode scanners, industrial computers in production, network. Servers are managed centrally at group level.
- Minimizes the overall cost of ICT operations by making sound make/buy decisions and by establishing a network of trustworthy local suppliers for hardware and services
- Establishes the yearly budget for ICT operations and tracks actuals versus budget
- Analyses end user’s requirements regarding PC infrastructure and makes plans for replacement or upgrade of hardware and software
- Leads and organises operational aspects of hardware and software systems
- installation and delivery to user

- move of PCs from one colleague to another

- While organisation of these services is the key task of the ICT operations manager, he provides necessary support himself in case of emergency
Scope
The ICT operations manager is responsible for the user related ICT infrastructure of Vlassenroot Polska. The ICT operations manager reports to the Chief Information Officer of The Vlassenroot Group.
Requirements
- Education, skills, experience
- Degree in IT related field
- 4 years of experience in ICT support function, preferably in manufacturing context
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Good knowledge of standard software
- Windows server 2008 and 2012
