IT Network Engineer
Kraków (currently remotely)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the delivery, support and management of global network and telecommunications services.
- Understanding of WAN / LAN / WLAN, DNS / DHCP PBX and VoIP support.
- Support a global network in a 24x7x365 environment for manufacturing, engineering and business office environments.
- Manage 3rd party service providers and IT partners
- The position is responsible for the project implementation of architecture, methods, procedures used for installation, maintenance and repair of network elements and supporting infrastructure for voice and data services. This includes security, monitoring, disaster recovery, MACD, trouble ticketing, change management, inventory and design documentation
- Responsibility for timely repair coordination, event notification and escalations related to network outages
- Take hands-on ownership for providing break, fix, and troubleshooting service and coordination for the global sites.
- Troubleshoot and identify root causes of incidents to ensure no repeat incidents occur
- Global responsibility for network and telecommunication asset management and consumption tracking, keeping asset database in line with actual; work and support with local IT team
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Information Technology related field of stud with a network engineering focus, or other equivalent training or experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Network Certification: CCNA, CCNP, CCNE, and a VOIP / SIP certification desired.
- CyberSecurity Certification: CySA +, CASP +, PenTesting, and CEH certification desired.
- Network troubleshooting, repair maintenance experience in an enterprise telecommunications environment or equivalent. Experience with a trouble ticketing tool. Remedy or ServiceNow desirable.
- Working knowledge of Visio, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, word-processing software required.
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills to manage strategy, deployment of technology and day to day operations with IT groups globally.
- Network support is a 24x7x365 operation. Employee must be able to work non-standard work shifts.
- Strong IT technical skills in order to resolve IT issues in a timely matter; ITIL process knowledge desirable.
- Strong Project Management skills to manage global deployments of network and telecommunication technology and services.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
